Katelyn Smith
Art I

Hi! I am Katelyn! I am a rising senior majoring in Communicative Sciences and Disorders with hope for a career in Speech Therapy. I come from the sunshine state of Florida and, although the midwest winter is a bit difficult sometimes, Saint Mary's is worth it! Coming from a catholic, all-girls high school, I was excited to continue my education in an environment that truly nurtures and cares about the student. After studying abroad in Rome my fall semester sophomore year, I fell in love with traveling. I love to sing and dance, but only when I am alone because being rhythmically challenged and tone deaf is not the most pleasing to others. My favorite movie is We Bought A Zoo and I love country music or anything with acoustic guitars. I am so excited to meet the other counselors and campers and to make this summer a memorable one! I have been a counselor at a couple other summer camps and absolutely love the energy and excitement of summer camp!

Cassie Bogaert

Hi I’m Cassie! I am a senior at IPFW majoring in Business. This will be my 3rd year here as a SMCFA counselor!!!! When I was little I was a camper here at Saint Mary's College and came back every year. My favorite things about the camp were meeting new people from all over the United States, going to a play, and being able to stay a whole week in the dorm rooms. Now it’s my turn to show campers how much this camp can not only be the greatest thing they will do all summer, but also to help them make the best memories to come back to year after year. Being a counselor here isn’t just a job it is like being around family! I made friends as a camper and now I couldn’t be happier making friends as a counselor! I can’t wait for this summer, so bring on the summer shine and go BANANAS!

Jennifer Vosters

Hi! I'm Jennifer and I am a rising senior English Writing major with minors in Theatre Performance and Italian. My hometown is Brookfield, Wisconsin, just outside of Milwaukee. I became a Belle because when I toured here in high school, Saint Mary's made me feel welcomed and wanted, which was and has been very important to me. It's hard to pick, but two of my favorite Disney movies are Tangled and The Lion King. I can't wait to have a fantastic camp experience this summer at a special place where it's great to be a girl!

Andrea Swift

Hi! My name is Andrea! I am graduating Saint Mary's College in May with a degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders and two minors in psychology and dance. I am from North Augusta, South Carolina. In the fall I am going to graduate school for my doctorate in audiology. I want to work in pediatrics and cochlear implants. Saint Mary's has been an amazing experience and it has given me so many opportunities that I could not have gotten at any other college. My two favorite childhood movies are The Lion King and The Little Mermaid. My favorite summer activity when I was younger was to create and then act out short plays with my two older sisters. I loved camp last summer and I can't wait for this summer! I hope to make this a great summer with wonderful memories for both campers and counselors!

Lydia Lorenc

Hi! My name is Lydia and I am a rising sophomore here at Saint Mary’s College as a Biology major intending on a career in Orthodontics. Saint Mary’s is the perfect place to explore being versatile and well rounded, and I am so fortunate to be able to study here. I am also so excited to join this year’s Saint Mary’s Fine Arts Camp staff as a counselor! I have been involved in Fine Arts from a very young age, so it is very humbling to get to work with kids who want to pursue the same passions I have. This summer I look forward to sharing my love and experience in dance and piano with the girls. I hope to make this summer one full of new friends, great memories, and an appreciation for the arts!

Miranda Oltmanns
Creative Writing

Hi ladies! My name is Miranda and I from Cleveland, OH. I am rising senior, elementary education major with a minor in mild intervention. I’m so excited to spend the summer at Saint Mary’s with wonderfully talented young ladies. Saint Mary’s is such a special place that will help you bloom into a confident young woman, as I know it has done for me. When I’m not spending my time working on school work, I’m at the Compton Family Ice Arena. I am President and a team member of the Notre Dame figure skating team. I have been figure skating since I was four years old and still cannot get enough of it. I also love taking walks to the Grotto, watching movies with my friends, and reading on the benches by Lake Marion. Through my time at Saint Mary’s I have grown to love the school and staff immensely. I cannot wait to arrive on campus in July and meet all of my campers. There is so much to learn and so many memories to be made!

I also love playing piano, as I started playing when I was 4 years old. In my spare time, I love to craft, paint, draw, play piano, play softball, and ping pong with my family! I hope their experience with Saint Mary’s is memorable, wonderful, and inspiring!
