Richard Baxter
Director

Richard has been the Director of Campus and Community Events at Saint Mary's College since the fall of 2000. As director, he is responsible for general oversight and management of the office. He serves on many college committees, including PCMA (President's Council on Multicultural Affairs), the Commencement Committee, and the Cultural Affairs Committee, serving as chair.  Prior to Saint Mary's, he was the Executive Director for the Creede Repertory Theatre in Colorado, a position he held from 1984-2000.  He has a B. FA (Acting Emphasis) from the University of Utah and he is a member of the Actors Equity Association.  He has many acting and directing credits and tries to remain active in live theatre.  Richard is married to Professor Susan Baxter, who teaches courses in Communications, Playwriting, and Journalism at Saint Mary's College. Susan is also the Director of the Writing Program at Saint Mary's College.  They live in Mishawaka and have two grown children, Dan and Miranda.

 


Lisa Peppers '87
Assistant Director- Internal Events and Camps

Campus and Community Events has been Lisa's second home for the past 26 years.  In this position, Lisa works with internal groups organizing their set up needs. She has played a role in many major events including, the Presidential Inauguration,  Board of Trustees, Alumnae Board, and Commencement, where she is a committee member.  Along with internal events, Lisa oversees all aspects of the Summer Camp programs which include, Athletics, Fine Arts, and Summer Academy.  She works closely with the Camp Director to ensure the integrity of the program and safety of the campers.  Prior to Saint Mary's, Lisa worked with the South Bend Tribune.  She is a 1987 graduate of Saint Mary's College, receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in French.  Lisa and her husband Randy live in South Bend and have 3 children, Colin, Emily and Andrew.

 


Jeff Grams
Technical Coordinator

Jeff has worked on the technical side of Campus and Community Events office for the past 28 years. He is in charge of all needs in this particular area for events such as, the Board of Trustees, Commencement, and Debbie Werbrouck's School of Dance.  Jeff oversees a talented group of technicians who assist him with all internal and external events. Prior to Saint Mary's College, he worked for the Morris Civic Theatre as the Box Office Manager and as a stagehand with IATSE Local 187. Jeff is a graduate of Holy Cross College and resides in the Michiana area.

 


Sandy Harmacinski

Sandy has been with the college for 8 years, spending the past 3 with Campus and Community Events.  In her new role, she works closely with faculty and staff to ensure their events and meetings are scheduled and set up properly.  Some of these events include Senior Hooding Ceremonies,  Fall Orientation and Commencement, where she is a committee member.  Along with scheduling Sandy is in charge of creating invoices for all internal and external events on campus.  Prior to Special Events, Sandy worked for College Relations in the Advancement Services Department where she served as Operations Coordinator.  A graduate of Ball State University receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Graphic Design, Sandy has been a long time resident of South Bend and is an avid Washington Panther fan!

 

Ann (Mason) Kiley' 08

‚ÄčAnn is starting her fourth year in Campus and Community Events Office at Saint Mary's College. She works with the student organizations during the school year to help coordinate their events.  In the summer you will find her working with wedding parties, organizing conference set ups and arranging housing for external groups. Ann also manages a summer staff of 30 workers to cover all desk shifts and to help organize summer events.  Prior to Saint Mary's College, she worked for 2 years in the Athletic Department with the Event Management staff at the University of Notre Dame.  Ann received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Saint Mary's College in 2008 and her Master of Education degree in Sports Administration from Xavier University in 2010.  Ann and her husband, Robby reside in South Bend.


Kris Robinson

Kris Robinson is finishing his first year at to Saint Mary’s College. He spends his time overseeing 25 student workers who assist with box office sales and events, room checks, and office needs. Kris serves as the box office manager, where he manages ticket sales and front of house. He plays a major role with marketing for ticketed events on campus, through social media and local advertisements. He works with our Summer Camp Director to ensure camp registration and promotions are created and implemented. Kris is a South Bend native and 2009 graduate of Indiana University South Bend with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Prior to Saint Mary’s College he was the Production Manager for the Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts at IU South Bend which included Box Office and Front of House management for 6 years. Kris is newly married to his wife Sara Curtis, together they stay active in the South Bend community enjoying theatre, the local food scene, and celebrating all that South Bend has to offer.
